# Getting started

> Pick a chain, connect a wallet, fund it with ETH or USDC and make your first mint, buy or stake.

This page walks you from a fresh wallet to your first MSS2. It takes a few minutes and a small amount of ETH on Robinhood or USDC on Arc.

## 1. Choose a chain

MSS2 runs on Robinhood and Arc as two separate economies. Pick the one you want to join with the chain selector in the header. Every page in the app works on the selected chain only, and the address bar shows it: `/robinhood/stake` or `/arc/stake`.

You can use both. Your stakes, referrals and mint history are tracked separately on each chain. See [Bridging](/docs/bridging) if you later want to move wallet MSS2 across.

## 2. Connect a wallet

Select **Connect** and choose one of these options:

- **Browser wallet**: a wallet extension installed in your browser.
- **WalletConnect**: scan a QR code with a mobile wallet that supports Robinhood or Arc.
- **Topaz ID**: a smart wallet you sign into with Topaz. The app shows your smart-wallet address; fund that address, not your login account.

The app asks your wallet to switch to the selected chain before any transaction. It never asks for your seed phrase or private key.

## 3. Fund the wallet

You need the chain's native currency for payments and gas.

- On **Robinhood**, hold ETH. A mint of 0.5 ETH plus a little extra for gas lets you mint the full first-tier million.
- On **Arc**, hold USDC. Arc uses USDC as its native gas token, so one balance covers the payment and gas.

No ETH or USDC on the right chain yet? The **Need ETH?** or **Need USDC?** link next to the payment box opens Topaz, where you can move funds onto Robinhood or Arc.

> Keep a small reserve for gas. Claiming, staking, collecting and compounding are each separate transactions.

## 4. Get MSS2

There are two ways in.

## 5. Claim your mint

Your token amount is locked in when your mint confirms. It can be lower than your quote if other mints confirm first, especially at launch. After the next block, open [Activity](/robinhood/activity) and select **Claim mint**. Your MSS2 lands in your wallet, or in your stake if you chose Mint & stake.

## 6. Decide what to do with it

- **Hold or trade** it in your wallet.
- **Stake** it permanently on the [Stake](/robinhood/stake) page and earn daily MSS2 rewards. See [Staking](/docs/staking).
- **Gift** it into your referrals' stakes with [Team airdrop](/robinhood/team). See [Team airdrops](/docs/team-airdrops).
- **Bridge** it to the other chain on the [Bridge](/robinhood/bridge) page.

## 7. Share your link

Open [Share & earn](/robinhood/share) to copy your referral link. It works before launch, and it costs nothing. See [Referrals](/docs/referrals).
